Man Dies At Hospital After Being Thrown From Motorcycle In Warren County Crash: Police

A man died at the hospital after being thrown from his motorcycle during a crash in Warren County, authorities said.

Lopatcong Police responded to the crash report near Belvidere Road (Rt. 646) between North Third Street and North Second Street just before 6:25 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, and found an NJSP state trooper treating the motorcyclist, who had landed in the front yard of a nearby home.

The man was taken to St. Luke’s Warren Campus, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A follow-up investigation found that the motorcyclist was heading southbound on Belvidere Road between North Third and North Second Streets when he lost control, ran off the right side of the road and was thrown from the vehicle, police said.

His identity was not released.

Belvidere Road was closed for approximately two hours for the investigation.

Assisting agencies include Phillipsburg Police, NJSP Washington Barracks, Lopatcong Fire Department, Phillipsburg EMS, and the Warren County Road Department.
